The box has been switched off for a month now with no sign of returning, so did OfCom finally do their job and order a cooling off period... well surely it would have been better to leave the repeater operational and actually GO OUT AND CATCH THE ABUSERS?!
It now seems the idiots have moved to the other local repeaters. The abuse, swearing and croaky voices have so far been regularly heard on:

It is truly unbelievable that the abuse could have carried on for the duration of time that it has without some kind of action from the authorites and it appears to indicate OfCom are but a far cry from the former Radio Investigation Service who actually got the job done by going out and catching these idiots in the act.
Just Friday 8th October morning PAUL G8JGF was heard arguing with a foul-mouthed cretin on GB3IN who threatened Paul with all manner of violence and goaded him to drive to Alport Heights for a fight. But instead of ignoring it as his license conditions state Paul repeatedly threatened him back and returned the abuse and their exchanges continued for over 15 minutes. Paul was heard shortly afterwards on the same repeater using the D-STAR mode talking to G0IZL asserting how 'hard' he is and boasting about what he would do to the abuser.
